      We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team !

      The main focus of this role is to be responsible for the full administration of payroll in Europe and Canada (EUCAN) (with provider) and/or Switzerland (in-house), ensuring employee salaries, bonuses, deductions etc are accurately and timely recorded and processed, as well as accurate and timely reporting with Finance on the relevant accruals and other obligations.

      Job Responsibilities

      Key responsibilities EUCAN

      • Responsible for providing the payroll in put to the providers, validating and approving the monthly payrolls for the markets in-scope (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, Sweden)
      • Enrolling new hires and deregistering leavers with the external payroll and benefits providers
      • Acting as first level of escalation for employees’ queries
      • Monthly payroll forecast and bank reconciliation
      • Validating the monthly cost invoices and tracking payments from local affiliates
      • Accounting:
      • Monthly payroll journals, including additional postings following exchange with EUCAN Local Finance team
      • Accruals (holiday, bonus, severance…)
      • Accounts reconciliations
      • Providing audit documentation as required by the local affiliate. EUCAN pension reporting for company financial results
      • Time & Attendance responsibility and compliance with local legislation
      • Year-end tasks: employee tax certificates, local authorities’ declarations

      Key responsibilities Switzerland

      • Administer the Payroll (data co llection, data changes, entering new employees data, checking payroll data)
      • Run monthly payroll and processes all the necessary work related to the monthly payroll
      • Processing of salary continuation cases (Illness, Accident, Maternity Leave, etc.)
      • Handle child and education allowances
      • Responsible for proper withholding tax declarations with the different cantons
      • Point of contact for HR Business Partners, Employees and Finance in regard to salary questions
      • Supporting Year-end tasks like tax certificate and attachments/supplements, year-end declarations to authorities
      • Assisting with internal audits requests

      Candidate’s Requirements

      • Commercial Education, Specialist certificate in Payroll or similar
      • Minimum 3 years of experience in Payroll Management with EUCAN and/or Switzerland, Finance & Bookkeeping background would be an asset
      • Knowledge of the Swiss Social Insurance System
      • Knowledge of payroll principles and practices (company & country)
      • Strong knowledge of the Tax Regulations
      • Computer and software advanced user, SAP payroll experience is an advantage
      • Strong communication- and interpersonal collaboration skills
      • Proactive, results- and customer-oriented mindset
      • Ability to coordinate different providers, projects, actions and change requests at the same time and also have the skills to get things done from the provider and others
      • Understanding of HR processes including payroll process, Payroll Interfaces and fiscal laws
      • Fluency in German & English
