  Position Description
  
  

  The Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing payroll and tax operations across Applied Medical's entities in the MENAT region. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, compliance with legislative requirements, and collaboration within a team framework. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all MENAT entities in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related issues and inquiries, adhering to legislative standards.
  • Ensure compliance with national and local regulations.
  • Manage and assist with tax-related responsibilities associated with payroll.
  • Perform bookkeeping and month-end tasks accurately and within deadlines.
  • Address complex payroll activities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related questions and provide expert advice.
  • Support ad hoc projects as required.
  • Identify and implement improvements in policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide team support and act as a backup for management when needed.

  Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Windows-based computer applications.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, minimize errors, and maintain high-quality output using detailed checklists and procedures.
  • Capacity to work efficiently under strict and meaningful regulations.

  Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a similar payroll role.
  • Preferrable: Master’s degree in a related field & Knowledge of SAP systems.
