The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, managing workflow, auditing timecards, and addressing employee queries. Additionally, the role involves processing garnishment orders, out of cycle payments, and month-end reporting. The individual will also assist with benefit open enrollment, generate weekly journal entries, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:1. Process payroll weekly, managing workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.2. Input, review, and audit timecards and verify the accuracy of data. Communicate with supervisors and managers to correct and fix timecard issues.3. Set up, process, and monitor garnishment orders such as child support and levies.4. Address and resolve employee queries in a timely manner.5. Monitor and process updates in the payroll system.6. Process advance, termination, and other out of cycle payments.7. Process accurate and timely month-end reporting.8. Sort and distribute weekly payroll checks to the appropriate managers.9. Assist with Benefit open enrollment.10. Generate and prepare weekly journal entries reports and payroll spreadsheets.11. Prepare and transmit weekly 401k.12. Filing of HR and payroll documents.13. Maintain and update attendance calendar daily.14. Maintain high level of confidentiality of sensitive information.15. Perform other duties as assigned or required.Qualifications:1. High School diploma or GED, college is a plus. 2. 2+ years of experience in payroll processing.3. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and procedures.4. Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.5. Strong organizational and time management skills.6. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.9. Knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to payroll.10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.11. Experience with 401k preparation and transmission.12. Experience with HR and payroll document filing.13.
