- 3 to 5 years of payroll experience.
- People interaction experience
- Retirement Benefits accounts are preferable
- Direct 1-3 of the Accounting Software experiences (any): Intuit Quickbooks Payroll, ADP Workforce Now, KRONOS, Paylocity, Paychex, Gusto, Patriot, OnPay, ProAdvisor, encompass, Peachtree, Block (formerly Square), Namely, Paycor, isolved, Trolley, Xero, EPAY systems, HRAPP, SentricWorkforce,
- Knowledge of employee and retiree benefits programs or Old legacy accounting software is a plus, but not required.
- MS Office Suite Advanced, Excel, Managing numbers through spreadsheets.
- sure all the payroll data entries are correct.
- Verify the benefits enrollment, Members files review, pull payroll, process changes to member benefits including changes to address, direct deposit account, tax withholdings,
- This will be a consultation/1:1 discussion with retirees/members/employees and making and beneficiary designations
- Explain benefits to members, research issues, and route inquiries appropriately
- Check and Calculate interest run (contribution rate), and Contribution reconciliations.
- Log incoming emails and voicemails and route them to the appropriate staff member
- Responsible for educating and assisting active employees on benefit enrollment issues
- Monitors and reconciles numerous benefit-related reports, including retirement allowance estimates, cost of purchase service credit, and retirement contributions.
- Perform research audits to reconcile medical discrepancies for active employees and retirees.
- Facilitating training (retiree workshops, open enrollment fairs, etc.)
- High critical thinking, quick in response, fast learner, proactive, willing to pick up things when hitting a roadblock, quick at learning clients' benefits, and ability to research.
Duration: 3 to 6 month contract + renewal, extension depending on further need. Possible contract to Hire – if the client criteria match at the time of conversion
