      Job Title: Payroll Specialist


      Job Description

      The Payroll Specialist is a vital part of the payroll team, tasked with ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for employees across multiple US locations. This role requires close collaboration with HR, Finance, and external vendors to deliver compliant and exceptional payroll services. The position also involves contributing to process improvements and providing support for complex payroll issues and projects.

      Responsibilities

      • Process and audit multi-state, bi-weekly payroll for approximately 900 exempt and non-exempt employees, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
      • Resolve complex payroll-related inquiries and provide internal support for escalated cases.
      • Reconcile payroll transactions and maintain accurate payroll records.
      • Collaborate with HR and Finance on payroll adjustments, benefits deductions, and off-cycle payments.
      • Ensure payroll processes are in alignment with company policies and federal/state regulations.
      • Support the year-end processing of W-2s and tax filings, and assist with audits and reporting requests as needed.
      • Identify opportunities for automation and process efficiency improvements within payroll operations.
      • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive employee information.

      Essential Skills

      • Minimum 3+ years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll for at least 700+ employees.
      • At least 2+ years of experience with ADP Workforce Now.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
      • In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and wage/hour rules.
      • Proficiency with payroll systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience with RSUs, ESPP, and stock administration is strongly preferred.

      Work Environment

      This role offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring on-site presence for a minimum of 2 days per week. The position is open-ended with a minimum contract duration of 3 months.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
