      Position Summary:

      Ensure accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll. Providing timely and accurate financial information, contribute daily to data entry of the payroll processing.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Input new hire, rehire, manager changes, allocations and transfer data
      • Perform daily payroll and HR department operations, which includes but not limited to verifying accuracy of paychecks
      • Manage workflow to ensure payroll transactions are being processed accurately and timely
      • Maintain timesheet, mailbox and payroll hotline
      • Direct Contact and Maintenance of Payroll for SYEP/CCEMP Programs

      INCLUDING:

      1. Communication with SYEP Leaders, Job Coaches and Youth Employees
      2. Attending Hiring Sessions in the evening and some Saturdays
      3. Presenting New Employee Orientation presentations, in the evening and some Saturdays
      • Provide necessary documentation to the accountants for billing to the funders
      • Technical troubleshooting of Employee questions and concerns
      • Filing and maintaining a secure and confidential environment
      • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls; contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks/results as needed
      • Work Independently
      • Other duties as assigned

      Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • ADP experience required
      • Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skill; ability to communicate with various levels of management
      • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced technical knowledge of complex formats, formulas, graphs, tables, computation, formatting and other applications in Word Processing and Spreadsheets
      • Organizational, multi-tasking, prioritizing skills, decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills
      • Ability to deal with highly sensitively confidential material
      • Knowledge of payroll and wage-hour compliance and billing process
      • Assure compliance with administrative requirements of contracts

      Job Requirements:

      • Equivalent to Associates Degree and 2 years’ experience or 5 years’ related experience
      • Working knowledge of payroll best practices

      Essential Functions/Physical Demands:

      • Positional: Infrequent standing and walking. Constant sitting
      • Gross Mobility: Rare climbing or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching, bending and handling.
      • Sensory: Rare tasting/smelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity, and visual accommodation. Infrequent talking.
