07/10/2025 PAYROLL SUPERVISOR/SENIOR PAYROLL CLERK
This is a supervisory position responsible for supervising and participating in the
operations of an automated payroll system for the Penfield School District. Duties also involve overseeing agency payroll and timesheets, assembling information for State, Federal and Social Security reports, and other duties relating to payroll and budget reports.
This position requires good knowledge of payroll procedures, accounting practices and current NYS and Federal payroll tax regulations; good knowledge of current labor laws; ability to plan, assign and supervise a clerical staff; ability to understand and interpret payroll policies and procedures; ability to communicate effectively; ability to work under pressure of deadlines; ability to identify and resolve departmental payroll problems.
Qualifications:
Must currently hold the title of Payroll Supervisor or Senior Payroll Clerk OR be on the current Civil Service Eligible list for either of these exams.
Compensation:
The district will offer a regionally competitive salary and benefits package for this 12-month position.
