      General Summary:

      The Payroll Tax Administrator is responsible for monitoring all U.S. payroll tax activities. This role includes auditing and responding to payroll tax-related tasks with accuracy and efficiency. The administrator ensures ongoing compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations while supporting timely and accurate payroll operations.

      Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Review and audit tax filings for accuracy and compliance with US Federal/State/Local regulations
      • Calculate, input and track (RSU) Restricted Stock Units using payroll system
      • Research and resolve any agency notices with regards to tax filings, penalties and interest
      • Register for new payroll tax accounts as needed; set up new jurisdictions in HRIS & ADP.
      • Run reports, identify and resolve variances for quarterly for tax liability balancing (ADP vs WD)
      • Respond to inquiries and special requests from employees and regulatory agencies
      • Research regulations regarding taxes and payroll withholding
      • Monitor payroll tax exceptions in ADP; research and resolve exceptions as needed
      • Conduct weekly, monthly & quarterly payroll tax audits
      • Prepare and submit multi-state reports for government agencies (BLS reporting)
      • Audit and maintain accuracy of unemployment rates in HRIS & ADP
      • Coordinate the annual W2 process, input W2 adjustments, balance W2’s, create W2Cs when required
      • Review department procedures; develop and/or recommend new or revised procedures for improving the payroll tax department
      • Perform other duties and special projects as requested

      Job Specifications/skills needed:

      • Knowledge of payroll tax laws and requirements in the US (in a multi-state jurisdiction environment)
      • Working knowledge of ADP Smart Compliance and Workday Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, formatting, and V-Lookup
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with co-workers, leadership and agency representatives
