      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review clinical documentation and apply correct coding and modifiers for complex specialty surgical procedures and highly specialized services
      - Ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations and provider documentation guidelines
      - Monitor coding accuracy, maintaining a productivity standard of 95% or above
      - Resolve coding denial requests and collaborate with billing departments on related issues
      - Develop and disseminate written procedures to improve billing and coding processes within the department

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 3 years of Radiation Oncology experience
      - ROCC certification and a high school diploma or GED
      - At least 4 years of professional or hospital experience in reviewing, abstracting, and coding using ICD-10-CM or ICD-10-PCS
      - Coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA, such as CPC, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS
      - Active AHIMA membership may be required for some positions

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Accredited Coding Program, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree; Specialized Coding Credential
      - Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
      - Familiarity with EPIC and 3M encoder systems
