      PCN Salaried General Practitioner

      We are looking to expand our team by employing Salaried General Practitioners to work alongside our practices and PCN staff across North Shropshire. We are looking to appoint 2 Salaried GPs to cover the East and West of North Shropshire to support our practices on a day-to-day basis, along with enhanced access and support of projects as they develop within the PCN.

      Main duties of the job

      Purpose of the Role

      To perform as an autonomous general practitioner working independently and with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patients attending within a primary care setting. Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence. To be involved in the provision of education and training to GP Registrars and other staff. To be professionally accountable and responsible for all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code of conduct ensuring the safety of patients and quality of their care is primary.

      North Shropshire PCN are a dynamic, forward thinking PCN made up of 6 practices, we are passionate about developing and delivering excellent quality local services to meet the needs of our patients, providing services to a patient population of circa 89,000.Our PCN staff currently includes Clinical Pharmacists, Physicians Associates, Social Prescribers, Paramedics, Physiotherapists, Care Coordinators, Pharmacy Technicians, Cancer Care Coordinators, Mental Health practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Dietician, Care Home Pharmacist and Home Coordinator.       • Qualifications: Qualified GP MRCGP Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT) Eligibility Full GMC registration National Performers List registration (England), noting that confirmation on this list is adequate for DBS confirmation Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU) Evidence of current validation Evidence of last appraisal Eligibility to practice in the UK independently Experience Experience of working in a primary care environment Experience of continued professional development
