      The opportunity

      This role sits within EY Lane4’s Research and Insight team. Everything we do is underpinned by rigour and aligned to best practice thinking. We ensure the solutions and approaches provided to our clients are fresh, relevant, and evidence based. By delivering world-class practical insight, we help leaders understand transformations and workplace challenges from a people perspective.

      As a member of our team, you’ll be passionate about research and human psychology, with a strong desire to deliver insight that makes a meaningful difference. Your role will primarily involve leveraging insights from psychology to help our clients transform their organisation, with your work being used to inform strategy, drive behavioural change, and enhance performance. Responsibilities include conducting psychological research, analysing data, and synthesising findings into practical strategies that address key workplace challenges.

      A successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of psychological theories, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex concepts into practical business recommendations. You will have a drive to learn, disciplined focus, and hunger to uncover the most insightful pieces of best practice knowledge. Under supervision from our Lead Researcher, you will plan and deliver targeted research projects that contribute to our solution offer, research content, and our client’s success.

      Working with our wider delivery team, you’ll help embed the latest research findings into our core client offer and services. As part of an ongoing iterative process, you’ll stay connected as the insights are pulled through by engagement teams and ‘brought to life’ via new solutions. Ultimately, helping to collate evidence-based innovation and ensure it’s shared with the wider consulting community.

      Your key responsibilities

      • With supervision from our Lead Researcher, you will plan and deliver research to ensure our solution offer stays fresh, distinctive, and evidence-based
      • Collaborate with market leads and engagement teams to identify key opportunities where research insight would add value to multiple clients
      • Conduct market scans and extensive academic literature reviews understand what insight exist already on identified topics or workplace challenges
      • Create concise summary reports and, where appropriate, compelling white papers and articles to share key findings and practical recommendations
      • Showcase research insight and key findings at internal events and to key client stakeholders
      • Develop relationships with EY stakeholders within the consultant community
      • Ensure innovative evidence-based solutions are made easily accessible to delivery teams

      Skills and attributes for success

      • Demonstrable experience delivering research projects, either in an academic environment or in a commercial setting
      • Creative problem-solving skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly, concisely, and using a compelling narrative
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and interpret significant amounts of information from the academic research literature
      • Ability to influence and engage multiple stakeholders
      • Attention to detail
      • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

      To qualify for the role you must have

      • Master’s degree in psychology (occupational psychology desirable)
      • Knowledge of consulting practice and dedication to staying updated with latest trends in HR and workplace challenges
      • Strong and current understanding of performance psychology literature and how to effect behaviour change
