Miami Valley Hospital Postpartum
Status: Full Time Shift: Nights Hours Per Pay: 72
As a PCT, the PCT/HUC works under the direction of RN/LPN as part of the health care team to assist with patient care activities. The tasks delegated are those that are in accordance with the Ohio Board of Nursing set by Miami Valley Hospital.
As a HUC, the PCT/HUC coordinates the day to day clerical activities of the nursing unit. The HUC directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/families/significant others.Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Satisfactory completion of a medical terminology course within the last five years (exceptions: RN, LPN, nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation.)
Licensure: N/A
Experience:
1. Completion of previous STNA or CNA training or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training.
2. Direct patient care experience within the last five years: Performing fundamental skills of vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) & direct patient care activities such as bathing, turning/positioning, and toileting.
3. Currently enrolled in nursing school and completion of one clinical rotation.
Certification: Current CPR certification required at time of hire
