- Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring that the Ultimate Patient Experience is delivered to every patient
- Screening patients during checkups
- Clean accretions, calcareous deposits, and stains from teeth and gums
- Examine for indications of oral cancer
- Reviewing a patient’s dental and medical history
- Maintain patients’ charts and transcribe the doctor notes accurately
- Recommending care to improve a patient’s oral health
- Performing preventive dental care
- Applying fluoride treatments
- Taking x-rays and reviewing them for signs of dental diseases
- Sterilizing and preparing dental instruments
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with patients and coworkers
- Ability to set priorities regarding patient care, manage full schedules and multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- State Hygiene License required
- Current CPR Certificate required
- Current Hepatitis B vaccination required
- Ability to administer local anesthetic agents required
- Minimum one (1) year of previous Pediatric Dental experience required
