      Christiana Care Health System is seeking a pediatric Occupational Therapist to work full time. Weekends and holidays as required.

      In this position, you will evaluate and treat patients ages birth through school age with a variety of diagnoses in the acute care NICU, outpatient, natural environment settings, as well as other contracted locations of service as required by physician's written order.

      Becoming a member of the Pediatric Rehabilitation team at Christiana Care will allow you to work closely with the other professionals on this multidisciplinary team such as Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Early Childhood Educators and Child Life Specialists. You will collaborate with nurses, physicians, and family service coordinators to ensure the best outcome for each child and family. You will develop strong coaching relationships with parents and other caregivers. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to shape the professional careers of future Physical Therapists through our robust PT student program.

      Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Evaluate and re-evaluate patients
      • Establish appropriate treatment programs that include goals to be attained
      • Complete all documentation relating to patient care, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
      • Provide patient and family education and training
      • Maintain written and verbal communication with referral sources concerning patient care.


      Education and Requirements:
      • Graduate of an A.P.T.A. approved school of Physical Therapy
      • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware

      • CPR certification required

      • At least one year of concentrated pediatric experience preferred

      • New graduates are encouraged to apply
