Duties will include: serving as the key advisor on all division business matters to the Department Administrator, Department Chairperson or Division Head; maintaining primary responsibility for developing the annual budgets for multiple divisions and for securing and managing all fiscal (clinical and/or research related) and human resources for assigned divisions or programs; strategic planning, oversight, coordination and management of all activities of the divisions to ensure efficient operations; and other duties as assigned.
Requirements Qualified candidates will possess: Master’s degree from accredited college or university in Business Mgmt, Healthcare Administration, or related field, minimum, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience; minimum five years proven experience in a physician health care organization; minimum three years’ experience in a mid-level or higher management role, specifically handling clinical business operations and HR issues; strong PC proficiency; knowledge of computerized billing systems; general knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding; strong understanding of health care insurance; importance of compliance with all government regulations regarding medical billing.
*Final salary is commensurate with experience level.*

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
