Job Description
Region of Peel and Peel Manor – Current and Future Opportunities Health Services – Long Term Care and Seniors Services DivisionRNs, RPNs, PSWs and Adult Day Services Positions availableStatus:
Regular Part Time Positions - some with guaranteed hours
Regular Part Time - some with no guaranteed hours - We require a minimum of 4 shifts per pay period including every other weekend and holidays
Regular Full time - 40 hours per week for certain roles (CUPE and UFCW) 37.5 hours per week (ONA)
Some of the opportunities are based on available funding. Currently funding has been secured for 13 months. If funding is extended, the successful candidates need not re-apply.
Compensation: As per the collective agreement
Part time opportunities - plus 14% in lieu of benefits
Full time opportunities - plus comprehensive benefit package
Location: Onsite - Peel Manor - 525 Main Street North, Brampton. There may also be opportunities to backfill roles at other Regionally operated Long Term Care and Seniors Services Division locations including Malton Village, Sheridan Villa, Tall Pines and Davis Centre
The Long-Term Care and Seniors Services Development Divisions require staff to provide person-centered care to our residents, clients and families following the Butterfly Philosophy of Care. This will ensure high levels of emotional wellbeing and a better quality of life for those living in our homes, and attending programs in our centres. Staff are to have emotional intelligence ability to deliver person-centered care in an authentic way that is meaningful to the resident/client and their family.
We are looking to fill current and future opportunities including
RNs and RPN’s - (RN's - $34.40-$49.26/hour) (RPN's $30.71-$32.97/hr) Reporting to the Director of Care (or designate) you will provide nursing care in accordance with the CNO Standards of Practice, other applicable legislation and policies and procedures of the centre.
Requirements: Current certificate of competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario/Experience in geriatric or long-term care, rehabilitation, medical/surgical, and psychiatric nursing
PSW’s – ($26.04 - $27.66/hour) Reporting to the Director of Care (or designate) you will work with the team to provide emotional and physical comfort, assist with the activities of daily living and maintain our residents units in a clean and tidy fashion.
Requirements: High School Diploma is required/ Personal Support Worker Certificate, graduation from a program whose curriculum has been approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
Adult Day Services Assistants - ($29.30-$31.00 per hour) Reporting to the Adult Day and Community Services Supervisor you will provide therapeutic and recreational programs and services to support the independence of clients in attendance at Adult Day Services
Requirements: Post-secondary diploma in Social Services or Gerontology, OR two (2) year Activation/Recreation Therapy Diploma from an accredited community college. Valid Food Handlers certificate and valid first aid/CPR required.
Adult Day Support Worker ($25.11-$26.76 per hour) Reporting to the Adult Day and Community Services Supervisor you will be responsible for the provision of personal care to clients attending the Adult Day Programs and encourage independence within a secure and stimulating environment.
Requirements: Personal Support Worker Certificate, graduation from a program whose curriculum has been approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities is required. Medication Management Training/courses, valid Food Handlers certificate and valid first aid/CPR required. Previous experience of at least one (1) year in a community setting or an Adult Day Service or Long Term Care setting
