      What You Will Do to Change Lives

      Peer Recovery Educators are responsible for planning, developing, organizing, delivering, and maintaining a robust recovery education monthly calendar of classes, activities and outings. They continually promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming.

      Shifts Available:

      Full-Time | AM | Shifts: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM | Days: Monday – Friday/ Additionally vary as needed

      Expected starting wage range is $21.00 - $24.87. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

      What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

      • High School Diploma or GED required
      • Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire date and maintained throughout employment
        • California: obtain Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA prior to hire date and maintained throughout employment.
      • Completion of an Adult Education Instructor course or completion within one (1) year of hire
      • Experience teaching or facilitating adult learning
      • Two (2) years’ experience or part-time equivalent supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges
      • Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
      • Must be at least 18 years of age
      • Must be CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified (hands-on course) on date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintain current certification throughout employment
      • All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply.
      • Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
      • Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
      • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc. (weekly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate)
      • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc. (weekly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate)
