      WHAT YOU'LL DO

      The People & Organization Practice Area is one of BCG's functional practice areas. Our work focuses on three critical areas: (1) Org Design & Operating Model, (2) Talent & Skills and (3) Purpose, Culture, Transformation & Change Management.

      We are seeking a strong candidate with experience and passion to fill an Operations Co-op role in the People & Organization practice (POP). Under the general direction of the Global Director of the practice, the co-op will support the POP knowledge and management teams across a broad range of activities including: financial reporting, internal and external marketing, communications, knowledge support, and others. The individual will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of different functions, to collaborate with teams across the world, and to better understand what the core business of consulting entails.

      The role requires a high degree of motivation and flexibility, the ability to work in a virtual management environment, and the ability to handle fragmentation.

      YOU'RE GOOD AT

      Drive the POP operations and financial activities to help understand the practice’s performance and to guide priorities and initiatives going forward including:

      • Create and interpret monthly management presentations
      • Provide support for ad hoc topic and region performance data
      • Provide support for the practice’s strategic planning
      • Contribute to global Topic, HR, marketing and affiliation activities:
      • Partner with global topic teams to execute special projects and contribute to the execution of practice area priorities
      • Oversee global affiliation, talent and expertise database
      • Support automation of tasks, identify and help execute effective new practices to drive efficiency in the business
      • Support POP knowledge team on ad hoc client project work to better understand the core of BCG’s business

      YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

      • Preference for someone working on a BS/BA in Business
      • Experience and / or interest in Human Resources / Organizational topics (e.g., Organizational Structure, Change Management, Learning & Development)
      • Preferably a middler or junior with strong academic performance and prior work/co-op experience
      • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
      • Organized, detail oriented and analytical, good interpersonal and communication skills. High level of initiative and resourcefulness.
      • Ability to work in fast paced environment
      • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program. Current college/university must have an existing co-op partnership with BCG's Global Services organization and recognize full-time employment as academic credit that will be part of the student's official transcript
      • Must meet the co-op program eligibility requirements of the current college/university's academic department and student must be approved by the college/university to participate in the co-op program
      • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the minimum duration of the co-op cycle
      • Must be authorized to work in the United States
      • Must be physically located in the U.S. during Co-op

      YOU'LL WORK WITH

      • Members of the Knowledge Team within the POP Practice Area. The Knowledge Team are experts on the topics within the POP Practice Area (Org Design & Operating Model, Talent & Skills and Purpose, Culture, Transformation & Change Management). They are responsible for the development of topic-related IP and closely support case teams on client work.
      • Members of BCG’s core support functions and businesses (e.g., PA Management, HR, Finance)
