What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Apply NCQA Technical Specification knowledge when abstracting / overreading Medical Record data
- Demonstrate and continually apply independent clinical critical thinking skills
- Participate in Project audits
- Participate in hands-on Clinical trainings
- Ensure Quality Assurance (QA) standards are met at the measure level
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience in HEDIS
- 1+ years of experience in Medical Record Review
- 1+ years of experience in a health care delivery organization, such as a managed care organization
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Licensed Clinical professional such as LPN, RN, RRT, etc.
- Knowledge of current trends in NCQA requirements in managed health care
- Knowledge of NCQA, Stars, HOS, and CAHPS requirements
- Knowledge in ICD - 9 - CM, CPT, DRG, LOINC, HCPCS, TOB, POS, NDC coding
