      Overview

      The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a per diem, experienced Advanced Practitioner (APRN or PA) to provide diagnostic evaluation and management of acute medical complaints for children and adults, presenting to the DHMC Emergency Department, or at one of the community hospitals within Dartmouth Health.

      Shift hours are rotating to include days, evenings, and overnights.

      Dartmouth Health is an academic health system serving patients across northern New England, providing the only Level I trauma center in New Hampshire as well as the Dartmouth Cancer Center and Dartmouth Health Childrens’ (formerly known as CHaD). As the home to the Dartmouth Institute and Geisel School of Medicine, opportunities for academic appointment and advancement are rich for motivated providers.

      Lebanon and the neighboring town of Hanover, home to Dartmouth College, are located in the “Upper Valley” which straddles the pristine Connecticut River, a national heritage river and includes 46 towns in western New Hampshire and eastern Vermont. This local region boasts excellent local schools, a myriad of cultural opportunities through Dartmouth College, as well as the Lebanon Opera House and Northern Stage in White River Junction, as well as an abundance of recreational opportunities. Amenities associated with urban areas in Boston MA, Burlington, VT and Montreal QC are all within a few hours’ drive.

      Qualifications

      • Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA academic program
      • National specialty certification as an Acute Care ANP, Acute Care PNP or NNP; or Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

      Required Licensure/Certifications

      • Eligible for RN licensure in the State of NH (APRNs only)
      • Eligible for APRN or PA licensure in the State of NH
      • Eligible for Federal DEA Registration
      • BLS certification
      • ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP as appropriate
