- Req#: 39690
- Provide consultative and rehabilitative treatment services to complex patients admitted to the acute hospital in the domains of speech, language and cognition.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive evidence-based treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes and discharge plans.
- Work within the context of patient- and family- centered care in a primary and specialty care academic medical center.
- Seek continual learning opportunities to advance one’s own practice and educate others.
- Wisconsin state license (or eligible) to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC - SLP)
- Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator within 3 months of hire
- Familiarity with a variety of equipment, including computer software, is required.
- Organization, independence, time management, flexibility, and a positive attitude are crucial to successful performance.
Work Schedule:
Per Diem, day shift. Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, no weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to:
Education:
Minimum – Master's level degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
Work Experience:
Minimum – Completion of Clinical Speech Language Pathology Fellowship.
Preferred – Experience in a medical setting as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Physical Requirements:
Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
