      Perception Software Engineer

      We are seeking a highly experienced Perception/Machine Learning Engineer to join a fast-growing autonomous vehicle company in San Francisco, developing advanced solutions for industrial automation!


      The Role:

      You'll develop and implement state-of-the-art ML perception techniques to enable autonomous vehicles to navigate complex environments. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll optimize models for real-world deployment, ensuring high performance on embedded systems.


      • Design and refine machine learning models for perception tasks (object detection, segmentation, tracking, etc.).
      • Optimize models for low-latency inference on embedded hardware.
      • Build cloud-based training and data pipelines.
      • Collaborate on sensor selection and integration.
      • Write high-performance, well-tested software.
      • Test your code in real-world environments.


      Required experience:

      • 7+ years of experience in computer vision, ML, and robotic perception.
      • Strong foundation in deep learning, dataset management, and model optimization.
      • Proficiency in modern C++ and Python.
      • Experience with compute-constrained pipelines (TensorRT, quantization, CUDA).
      • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
      • Previous experience working on Autonomous vehicles at level 4 + is preferred


      Salary:

      $160,000 - $240,000 + equity
