- Our client is seeking a Performance & Automated Test Specialist to join our team in supporting a variety of enterprise-level applications and systems across diverse technology platforms.
- While on-site work in Regina, Saskatchewan, is preferred, remote candidates may be considered.
- Remote resources are expected to provide daily status reports summarizing completed and planned work.
- The Performance & Automated Test Specialist is responsible for the design, execution, and reporting of performance and automated testing, with occasional after-hours or weekend work required for performance testing and project deadlines.
- The specialist will collaborate closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient application performance across all platforms.
- Develop and maintain performance and load testing strategies, including baseline, endurance, capacity, and stress testing.
- Create, execute, and manage automated test scripts and test frameworks.
- Gather performance test requirements and determine realistic system loads and bottlenecks.
- Develop, configure, and maintain load generation infrastructure and environments.
- Write, update, and manage test plans, including test data and test scripts.
- Analyze and report on test results, providing performance insights and defect root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with developers and system administrators to resolve performance issues.
- Prepare and deliver status reports, performance analysis, and final test results for stakeholders.
- The Performance & Automated Test Specialist provides test artifact handoffs and ensures environments are maintained or cleaned up post-execution.
- Lead or support test team meetings, defect triages, and coordination with project stakeholders.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Formal training in software testing.
- Certified Software Test Automation Specialist (CSTAS) – STABOK
- Certified Software Test Automation Architect (CSTAA) – STABOK
- ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Level Certification (Advanced Level preferred)
- OpenText LoadRunner Professional (LRP) Certified Developer
- OpenText Unified Functional Testing (UFT) Certified Developer
- Extensive experience in OpenText LoadRunner, UFT/QTP, and ALM/HPQC
- Experience with automated testing of SAP, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure App Services/.NET, databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), and mobile applications
- Automated test design and execution
- Performance/load test scripting, execution, and reporting
- Working with tools like Fiddler, JMeter, Postman, etc. (if applicable)
- Performance testing complex, integrated systems
- Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Database and application design principles
- Security, privacy, accessibility, and usability best practices
- Agile and SDLC best practices
- Testing experience with:
- Electric Office GIS
- Field Service Management (IFS)
- SuccessFactors
- SharePoint
- AMI (EnergyIP MDMS, Sensus RNI)
- Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS)

- Willingness to work occasional overtime or after-hours/weekend shifts for testing and deployments.
