      Performance and Capacity Engineer, Modeling & Optimization

      Join Meta as a Performance and Capacity Engineer, Modeling & Optimization.

      This role involves building models, conducting analyses, and developing POVs on capital allocation decisions related to AI and Infrastructure at Meta, supporting the company's cutting-edge AI products used by over 3 billion users.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Building and maintaining models for long-term planning and strategic decisions.
      • Developing tools to compute and explain Infrastructure costs at various levels.
      • Formulating independent views on ROI of infrastructure investments and resource allocation.
      • Collaborating across teams to assess impacts of resource reallocation.
      • Maintaining decision lineage to ensure accountability.
      • Creating automated tools, scripts, data pipelines, and models for decision-making.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
      • 12+ years in performance or software engineering.
      • Proficiency in programming languages like C++ or Python.
      • Experience in large-scale cloud environments.
      • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Masters or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field.
      • Experience in resource planning at hyperscalers or large cloud customers.
      • Interest in technology-business interrelations and decision models.

      Meta offers a competitive salary range of $213,000 to $293,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. The role is full-time, based in a location with the necessary legal compliance and accommodations.
