Job Description

- Build and maintain supportive and collaborative relationships with local agencies including midwifery & health visiting teams, local Family Hubs and district wide delivery partners.
- Use information from the local maternity system to identify eligible pregnant people to contact and recruit into district wide perinatal services and support the arrangements for contacting from the service facilitators.
- Ensure all schedules of delivery are shared in appropriate ways with those in contact with families.
- Maintain records of signposting and navigation activity and provide reports to Community Midwifery Teams as needed.
- Gain feedback from district wide service delivery partners on barriers to engaging families into local services.
- Work under the direction of the Community Team Leader and Midwives to identify people to be referred into services and administer the consent process.
- Be responsible for the collection of timely, accurate and complete information / data from service users.
- Be responsible for the inputting of information / data onto the departmental database systems and producing reports as required.
- Ensure advice and information is available for all service users and their families.
- Work closely with other PPAs within the district and members of other Community Midwifery Teams to identify innovative ways of working in communities to improve access to district wide services.

- BTEC Level 3 or GNVQ Level 3 in Childcare or health and social care related subject * Or equivalent
- Previous relevant experience of working with pregnant people or young families
- Experience of working to tight deadlines
- Demonstrates past experience of team working
- Experience of working across inter-professional or multidisciplinary teams and different organisations
- Previous experience of working in maternity or childcare services
- Able to travel and work in multiple locations within the Bradford and Craven District community
- Understanding of the Data Protection Act 1998
- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
- Competent level of computer literacy
- Knowledge of the Voluntary and community sector

Job summary
We are looking for an organised, motivated and enthusiastic Perinatal Project Administrator (PPAs) to take key roles in the administration and signposting of perinatal women and people into district wide services.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a brand-new model of care to help navigate women and families into services throughout the critical first 1001 days of life. As a PPA you will be intrinsic in signposting service users into seamless support and information that will hugely impact on improving the life chances of families within the district. This is a unique roll which will enable you to broaden your field of experience, expand your skills and capabilities related to NHS career roles, increase your awareness of the wider community, and help you to further understand the local health and care system.
The post holders will be based in our Keighley Community Midwifery Team and will co-ordinate the identification and recruitment of pregnant/perinatal people who live within the geographical area, into district wide services, aimed at improving outcomes for pregnant people and their families.
Fixed Term until 31 March 2026

The post holder will work as part of the Community Midwifery Team, and the wider midwifery service, providing administrative support. As PPA the post-holder will be responsible for the planning and co-ordination of the recruitment of families into relevant district wide services, including identification of women / birthing people and consent to data sharing. They will work along-side a wide range of community-based practitioners to co-ordinate the promotion of perinatal support and information. The post holder will ensure processes are in place to support the engagement of pregnant / perinatal people into services in a timely fashion and make initial contact with service users where necessary. The post holder will contribute to the day to day running and administration of the service, identifying the target population, signposting and navigating women and families into services that support the first 1001 days.
It is expected that the post holder will work 5 mornings a week (7:30am 12:00pm).
