      Job Description

      Participates as a member of the perioperative team by performing various direct and indirect tasks.

      Job Responsibility

      • Participates in room preparation and turnover, and other support activities as delegated by perioperative registered nurse and healthcare team members.
      • Acquires, stocks, and delivers supplies, laundry, and equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
      • Uses supplies judiciously and in a cost-effective manner.
      • Transports cultures/specimens to appropriate department.
      • Answers telephones and communicates professionally and effectively.
      • Performs related duties required to facilitate proper and efficient use of operating room.
      • Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.

      Job Qualification

      • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
      • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
