      The Town of Breckenridge Community Development Department is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Permit Technician . As a key member of the Department's Building Division, the incumbent will play a vital role in supporting builders, contractors, and community members at the front counter. The Permit Technician is responsible for issuing building permits, maintaining records, and ensuring accurate data entry into the EnerGov system. In addition to providing exceptional customer service, this role helps support the smooth operation of the Department by assisting with administrative tasks and occasionally providing coverage for the Administrative Supervisor.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
      • High School diploma or GED required.
      • Three (3) or more years of customer service experience required.
      • A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a professional office environment required.
      • Valid Colorado Driver's License required within 30 days of employment.
      DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Five (5) or more years of customer service experience preferred.
      • Experience in construction, building inspections, or similar fields of work highly desired.
      • International Code Council (ICC) Permit Technician Certification or the ability to obtain within one (1) year preferred.
      • Bilingual English/Spanish desired.
      Hiring Pay Range: $30.50 - $36.25 per hour.
      Full Pay Range: $30.50 - $42.00 per hour.

      WORK SCHEDULE
      Generally, the work schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Fridays 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. (noon).
