      SUMMARY

      Saw moulding to desired lengths for shipment and/or assembly.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      May include, but are not limited to, the following:

      • Pick up and saw moulding into desired lengths and proper cuts, place onto a pallet.
      • Read and verify paperwork (work orders) to ensure lengths, quantity, and profile are correct.
      • Maintain and clean equipment on a regular basis.
      • Maintain all safety regulations and procedures while operating the saw.
      • Complete and submit daily production report.
      • Keep area clean and orderly.
      • Maintain level of quality consistent with established standards.
      • Comply with established safety rules and use required safety equipment.
      • Comply with company policy and procedures.
      • Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and managers.
      • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
      • Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of the supervisor/manager and/or lead.

      EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

      • Education/Knowledge

      High school diploma or general education diploma (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

      • Experience

      One to three months machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

      • Skills

      Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to read tape measure.

      • Communication

      Communicate in writing and orally with supervisor/manager, lead, and other employees. Carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

      The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts, and is frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Eye and hearing protection is required in the work area. Hand protection is occasionally required.
