What you will do : Our Technology Solutions Group is a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with exciting changes on the horizon under new senior leadership. We are looking for you to build out scalable applications to support our Compliance, Finance, Data Governance, Operational Risk, and Human Resources teams. You will need to have in-depth technical knowledge of Java Spring Boot and SQL and should feel comfortable working within large internal and external data sets. This position is performed in a hybrid manner with a mix of work performed from our office in Newark, NJ and remotely. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees meet with their team in the office on set days of the week and can work remotely the remainder of the week. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration and may be required during group specific events (Town Halls, etc.)

What you can expect :

• Work with the solution lead, product manager, and other senior developers in assessing business needs and transforming them into scalable technology solutions.

• Upgrade our legacy applications with the latest technologies such as AWS etc.

• Write effective, scalable codes.

• Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance.

• Integrate user-facing elements into applications with sound security measures.

• Test and debug programs.

• Improve functionality of existing systems.

What you will bring:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• A team player with good communication skill

• 5+ years hands on experience in Java or Python and SQL.

• Experience with source control and build tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Gradle, Git etc.

• Familiarity with security concepts authentication, authorization, and SSL

• Experience with AWS Services using S3/Glue/Lambdas is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $110,000 to $140,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
