      This position is a pharmacist-in-training and as such may, in the execution of their job and under the direction and supervision of a pharmacy preceptor, perform all the duties of a pharmacist except the final check of medications. An intern (in conjunction with a pharmacy preceptor) is responsible for helping to assure that patients receive safe, efficient, cost-effective drug therapy and for providing clinical drug information to physicians, nurses, patients and other healthcare professionals.

      Position is per diem, 0.02 FTE, Variable shift, hours per week are as needed, and not guaranteed

      Required Qualifications:

      • Coursework/Training: Currently enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy.
      • Upon hire: Alaska Pharmacist Intern License or
      • Upon hire: Alaska Pharmacist Temporary License or
      • Upon hire: Alaska Pharmacist License

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Prior experience in healthcare environment.
