- One year current pharmacy experience, preferably in hospital,

JOB SUMMARY:
The Registered Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of pharmaceutical services to all patient care groups, including geriatrics, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal and maintaining statistical records.
The position is responsible for the preparation, dispensing, monitoring of both the prescribing and effectiveness of all medications and IV admixtures.
The pharmacist will also supervise and direct the activities of all pharmacy technicians to ensure departmental workflow is not negatively affected.
The registered pharmacist also provides, when needed, clinical services such as patient counseling, education, consults, and medication therapy management.
The position is also responsible for identifying and reporting hazardous environments or safety issues and medical errors to appropriate personnel.
The position is also responsible for any other assigned tasks, as appropriate.
The registered pharmacist is also responsible for maintaining a clean, neat, uncluttered work area, to provide prompt and safe service and train, coach and develop new staff.
The pharmacist should also share a team vision.
