- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- 1 year in a pharmacy-related industry (i.e. hospital, retail, outpatient pharmacy) preferred, but not required
- Registered California Pharmacy Technician preferred, but not required
- 1 year recent relevant experience
- Familiarity with MS Office application preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and drug nomenclature desirable.
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, motivation, flexibility, energy and creativity.
- Ability to form harmonious working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Collaborative and problem solving skills with customers and management.
- Organizational skills.
- Must be able to handle sensitive issues, conflict with or among others, respectively direct and reinforce staff efforts; effectively plan and organize and prioritize work, and to effectively solve unique problems as they arise or identify when to consult supervisor.
- Must be able to deal with a challenging work environment from time demands and conflicting priorities.
- Maintain a positive and professional image and demonstrate self-directed learning to meet professional development and/or license requirements.
- At orientation and annually thereafter, must be able to meet core competencies for position and area of specialty, as appropriate.
- Ability to be aware of surroundings and respond to emergency and/or urgent events.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Ability to communicate with possibly disoriented, combative patients.
- Ability to work in mentally and physically demanding environment.

Pay Range is $23.45 to $30.48 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
