Job summary
We have an excellent opportunity within our friendly department for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Receptionist to join our team.
It is essential that you have a GCSE A* - C or equivalent in Mathematics and English Language. Previous experience within a customer service or hospital environment is desired but not essential, as full training will be provided.
The post holder will be expected to participate in the weekend and bank holiday rota.
Although five days a week cover is required, the hours could fit around school drop off and pick up for a candidate with a family, 25 hours per week.
If you have good communication skills, have a compassionate, sensitive and tactful nature and are able to work well within a team, then this is the job for you!

Main duties of the job
The role will involve working on the Dispensary Reception, acting as the first point of contact for the department by greeting patients, parents/carers and other healthcare professionals.
The role also entails answering the department's telephone, entering prescriptions on to the electronic prescription tracker, directing calls to the appropriate person and general administration duties of filing, faxing, photocopying etc.
