What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct pre and post-claims review audits to maximize reimbursement
- Collaborate with hospital revenue cycle and clinical teams to resolve accounts and appeal denials
- Analyze financial impacts and assess compliance documentation for charging processes
- Provide education and support to stakeholders to improve overall reimbursement practices
- Maintain and update payor contract rate files, ensuring accuracy and compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of five years of experience in program or project monitoring and coordination
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or a related field (substitutes for two years of required experience)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with all levels of staff
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- Experience in healthcare reimbursement analysis and revenue cycle processes
- Familiarity with Epic software
- Previous hospital and community-based experience in billing and compliance
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to perform pharmaceutical mathematics calculations
