Job Description
- Req#: 1330583
- Train in the required pharmacy practice settings for a specified number of weeks as set by the Program to meet the core objectives of the program.
- Elect training in other pharmacy practice settings as offered by the Program.
- Develop and implement a longitudinal residency project under the guidance of Residency Director, Coordinator, Preceptors, or Project Advisors.
- Present findings of project at the Western States Regional Residency Conference.
- Complete additional projects and activities as required.
- Attend Professional and Educational Meetings/Conferences Complete twelve (12) months of training program to meet the program goals as well as the educational outcomes set by ASHP/AMCP prior to receiving certificate of completion.

- Candidates must be graduates or candidates for graduation from an ACPE accredited degree program (or one in the process of pursuing accreditation) OR
- Have a degree in pharmacy meeting minimum educational requirements for pharmacist licensure in California OR
- Have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Associations of Board of Pharmacy (NABP).
- Pharmacist License (California) required at hire OR Intern Pharmacist License (California) required at hire
- Pharmacist License (California) within 4 months of hire
- California pharm D within 120 days upon SD. Residents who are not licensed within 120 from start date term of appointment extended by the number of days resident is without licensure past 120-day deadline to maximum 45 days.
- Failure to obtain a CA pharmacist license within 165 days from program SD will result in resident being dismissed from program and employment will be terminated.
- Position may require occasional travel to other KPMCP & Non-KPMCP locations for meetings, training, etc..

Job Summary:Receive training in a variety of pharmacy practice settings to meet the educational outcomes and goals set by the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists (ASHP). To develop competence, skills, and application of drug therapy knowledge in providing the broad scope of pharmaceutical services needed in a practice setting.
