As a Pharmacy Supervisor you will:
• Work with pharmacy leadership team, to develop, implement, monitor, and improve pharmacy procedures and workflows to maintain a safe, efficient, and effective operation.
• Manage personnel functions including recruitment, training, scheduling, initial/annual competencies, performance development, engagement, coaching, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions for all pharmacy technicians, including Lead Technician, Inventory Technician, and Sterile Compounding Lead Technician.
• Initiate, implement, and monitor continuous quality improvement projects.
• In conjunction with the pharmacy leaders, ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, quality, legal, USP and other industry standards.
• Interface with medical, nursing, and other departments/staff members to address and resolve customer service issues.
• Responsible for oversight of monthly unit inspections.
• Lead and/or participate in intra- and inter-departmental committees and meetings as applicable.
• Function as Pharmacist/Charge Pharmacist as required.
Qualifications Include:
• Required: Graduation from accredited pharmacy school with PharmD or B.S. Pharmacy
• Preferred: Master of Business Administration or Master of Healthcare Administration
• Preferred: ASHP accredited PGY1 and PGY2 residency in Pharmacy Administration
• Required: Minimum of 5 years of clinical pharmacy experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Preferred: Previous leadership experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Required: Current Maryland Board of Pharmacy License, in good standing
• Preferred: Board Certification
• Preferred: ACLS Certification (or PALS & NRP certifications)
• Preferred: Member of American Society of Health-system Pharmacists (ASHP), and/or Maryland Society of Health-system Pharmacist (MSHP), or other relevant professional organizationWork Schedule:
M-F, Days. Occasional evenings, nights, weekends, holidays as needed.
Pay Range:
$116,227.90 - $174,341.85If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
