- Support the onsite Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Manager, as well as the wider healthcare team
- Work from the medication rooms on the wings
- Second check medication before dispensing to patients on medication rounds
- Contribute to services such as medicine reconciliation, managing stock medicines and transportation of medicines
- Provide support to ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
- Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals - primary care, substance misuse and mental health

- No experience is necessary - we are looking for someone with a keen interest in Pharmacy, and keen to pursue a career in Pharmacy and Healthcare within a prison
- An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing would be a bonus, but isn't essential
- Ideally have medicines handling experience, although not essential
- Have a proactive approach, with excellent communication skills

This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week / 10 shifts per 2 weeks. The team work on a 2 week rota, with alternate weekends. Usually, you will work one long shift per 2 weeks - 7am - 9pm. Weekend shifts are 8am - 4pm. Other shifts are Monday to Friday - 7am - 4pm or 11am to 9pm.Salary
