      Schedule:

      Full time - 36 hours/week or greater

      Shift:

      12 Hour Night Shift (United States of America)

      Weekly Work Schedule:

      7-on, 7-off, 12-hour shifts. Work week begins on Wednesday nights. Shift assignment is either 6PM to 6AM or 7PM to 7AM. Some holidays will be required.

      A Brief Overview
      Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, will assist in the non-judgmental aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in clinical pharmacy operations. Will provide services to patients from birth to death.

      Education Qualifications

      • High School Diploma / GED Required
      • Completion of a vocational training program. Preferred


      Experience Qualifications

      • 1 year Pharmacy technician or healthcare experience. Required


      Skills and Abilities

      • Able to utilize Microsoft Office. (Required proficiency)


      Licenses and Certifications

      • National Technician Certification recognized by the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy is required. Must also be registered with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy.


      What you will do

      • Properly use dispensing and bar coding technology to ensure accurate medication selection, stocking, and order fulfillment for all inpatient and clinic orders, batch fills and automated re-stocks including checking the work of other technicians when applicable (Tech-Check-Tech).
      • Manage and maintain automated dispensing cabinets and medication outdates for assigned area and as needed.
      • Manipulate and re-package hazardous and non-hazardous dosage forms following procedure.
      • Specialized training & competency in hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding.
      • Competency in at least one decentralized pharmacy space (OR, ED, etc.) in addition to basic central pharmacy operations.
