- UT Health Quitman offers 25 private rooms, a 24-hour Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center, surgical suites, advanced diagnostics, swing bed care, cardiopulmonary rehab, on-site physician clinics, and a sleep lab.
- The pharmacy technician buyer manages the entire procurement process by purchasing the necessary medications and materials for the pharmacy department.
- Responsibilities include ordering, receiving and stocking, inventory management, medication returns, replacement and waste.
- Working with wholesaler and vendors, the Buyer will manage shortages, process purchase orders and invoices, and review compliance with contracts.
- The Pharmacy Buyer will manage and inform leadership of pharmaceutical recalls, manage reverse distribution and ensure all necessary records are retained and filed in compliance with organization policies and procedures as well as state and federal law.
- High School graduate or GED
- 3+ year’s previous hospital pharmacy technician experience (inclusive of training programs)
- Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment
- National Certification (CPhT)
- Current BLS
- Associates/bachelor’s degree
- 1 year experience with purchasing
