      JOB SUMMARY

      The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations by performing a variety of tasks, including prescription order entry, claims adjudication, medication preparation and dispensing, distribution, non-sterile and sterile compounding, and inventory management. Responsibilities also include operating automated pharmacy devices and equipment, handling controlled substances, maintaining assigned areas, and providing effective communication with patients. This role requires assessing and addressing the age-specific needs of patients and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The Pharmacy Technician performs all duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • Registered Pharmacy Technician - License issued by Florida or Compact State
      • At least six (6) months of experience in related practice setting is required.
