- Req#: 7903
- High School Diploma or GED
- State of Alaska licensure as a Pharmacy Technician
- BLSP (CPR) from the American heart association within 30 days of employment
- 1 year of Pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
- Pharmacy Tech National Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, supervisor, and/or director of pharmacy services, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program. Responsible to maintain confidential reports, enter and retrieve data utilizing the computer system, prepare intravenous medication, including but not limited to, hyper-alimentations and antibiotics, fill automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications, procure, and fill requests for pharmaceutical supplies and deliver supplies to nursing units. Maintains standards set by regulatory agencies and the department while translating policies and procedures into the daily operation of the pharmacy.

This position requires compliance with sterile compounding practices and prohibits the use of cosmetics and artificial nails while on duty.
CPH offers competitive pay and benefits including health insurance, retirement, paid time off and many more! Starting pay is $24.88/hr. - $28.44/hr. depending on experience. Additional compensation is also available for weekend shifts.
