Job Summary: The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting central pharmacists and technicians in the delivery of medications and pharmaceutical products under direct supervision of a Pharmacist. Documents and updates documentation on various pharmaceutical products that are loaded in the automated dispensing machines. Communicates with pharmacy staff and nurses about medication when necessary and appropriate.
Qualifications:
-Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
-Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy for Maryland as a Pharmacy Technician.
-Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certified, or obtain PTCB certification within 1 year of hire. Licensure required.
-PTCB for pharmacy students can be waived for those who have an active Pharmacist Intern License.
-Six months of previous hospital experience required.
Shift: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Rotating Shifts which include weekend & holiday work.
Salary Range: Minimum 20.08 per hour - Maximum 33.13 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
