      Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.

      Shift: 4

      Schedule: Monday through Friday scheduling may require some flexibility. This position also requires a weekend staffing component of one shift every four weeks.

      Monday 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

      Tuesday 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

      Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

      Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

      Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

      Job Summary:

      Provides technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders and the monitoring of drug therapy. May procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections. Other duties as assigned.

      EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

      High School diploma or equivalent is required. Successful completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) recognized technician training course or an accredited pharmacy technician training program is required within 12 months of hire

      TRAINING DESCRIPTION:

      Formal training in phlebotomy, Medical Assistant training or equivalent or Health Unit Coordinator diploma.

      SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

      Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Detail oriented. Experience with various computer systems and programs.

      LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

      Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration
