      Job summary

      We are looking for a motivated, experienced primary care basedPharmacy Technician to bring their expertise to our multi-disciplinary team, helping us to deliver safe, effective and innovative healthcare to our community.

      Main duties of the job

      As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be an integral part of the practice team, working within your professional boundaries and under the supervision of the Partnership. You will:

      • Ensure the safe, accurate and timely supply of prescribed medication to patients.

      • Provide technical and administrative support to clinicians.

      • Support patients with medication queries and optimise safe prescribing.

      • Carry out audits, contribute to QOF and incentive schemes, and support antimicrobial stewardship.

      • Assist in medicines reconciliation, optimisation tasks, and patient safety initiatives.

      • Work collaboratively with GPs, pharmacists, nurses, reception, and the wider PCN team.

      The Dove Medical Practice is a friendly, patient-focused GP surgery based in Erdington, Birmingham, caring for around 9,300 patients. We are proud to serve a diverse community and are committed to delivering safe, accessible, and high-quality healthcare.

      • An appreciation of the new NHS landscape including the relationships between individual practices, PCNs and the commissioners
