- Consistently perform all activities and duties of Data Entry Pharmacy Technician II at above standard performance levels.
- Ensure customer service standards are met for facilities and patients we service
- Assist Lead and/or Supervisor in training the Data Entry staff on systems and processes to ensure Data Entry technicians are fully trained within established time period.
- Serve as subject matter expert and departmental resource in Pharmacy operating systems and workflow. Provide assistance and mentor new Data Entry pharmacy technicians.
- Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently
- Using advanced knowledge, independently troubleshoot, research and resolve customer service issues that require judgement and critical thinking.
- Understand & exercise proficiency in Cycle in order to meet delivery deadlines. Assists in training technicians in Cycle as appropriate.
- Consistently exceed pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
- Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
- High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
- Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration required
- 3+ years of related experience including 1 year as a Data Entry Technician II.
- Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience required
- Basic knowledge of adjudicating a claim
- Knowledge of Brand Name/Generic medications and Sig codes
- Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
- Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
