      Pharmacy Technician (Liaison)
      Good Samaritan
      Portland, OR

      CPS Solutions is seeking a highly motivated customer service-oriented Pharmacy Technician (Liaison) professional who wants to elevate their career to the next level in the specialty pharmacy arena. Join a growing team at our CPS Solutions / Good Samaritan location in Portland, OR . This role will provide outstanding customer service, work alongside clinical pharmacists, interact with physicians and healthcare professionals, contact insurance companies and help find payment assistance programs for our patients.

      Pay rate: $26-$28 per hour based DOE, plus bonus

      Responsibilities
      Greeting patients upon arrival to the clinic
      Explaining the benefits of our specialty pharmacy and successfully enrolling patients into the program
      Performing all insurance benefit investigations, prior authorization, claim rejects, overrides, etc.
      Working with patients to find financial aid (grants, manufacture programs, discount cards, etc.) to ensure they have access to the medications they need
      Data/order entry and verification of patient information
      Providing direct support to enrolled patients to ensure that they are supported throughout their therapy regimen and achieve their intended outcome. This includes:
      Conducting outbound phone calls for patient support, adherence checks and refill reminders
      Appropriately triaging any clinical questions to the appropriate clinician (pharmacist, nurse or provider)
      Participating in conference and workshops to help promote CPS

      Qualifications
      High school diploma or equivalent
      Experience as a pharmacy liaison/technician highly preferred
      Registered, or the ability to become registered, as a pharmacy technician in the State of Oregon
      Experience interacting with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals (preferably in a medical clinic)
      Knowledge of benefit investigations, prior authorization support and patient financial assistance work a plus
      Strong people skills and the ability to work with teams across various business units
      Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, EMR systems (EPIC, Cerner or Meditech) and dispensing systems (QS1, RX30 or Computer Rx) highly preferred
      Provide a high level of customer service, while always upholding CPS standards

      And bonus points if you have
      Experience in a health systems specialty pharmacy as an in-clinic technician
      Experience working with various disease states

      Hospital Requirements (may be required)
      (PPD) TB Skin Test – proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
      (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or a blood titer proving immunity
      Varicella – (2) documented doses or a blood titer proving immunity
      Hep B3 Series
      (Flu) Influenza – required for hire between October 1st and April 30th
      COVID vaccine
