      Pharmacy Technician for Providence Home Services in Portland, OR.

      Per Diem/Day Shift

      Performs all typical duties of a retail. mail order, specialty pharmacy staff technician as defined by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy and local pharmacy drug outlet procedures. Fills physician orders for patient medications under a Registered Pharmacist's supervision. Communicate with and service the needs of the Pharmacy clientele. Has advanced knowledge and skills in one or more specialty areas in the pharmacy. (Advanced skills include specific certifications such as immunization administration, MTM)

      Required Qualifications:

      Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License, or

      Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician

      Upon hire: In compliance with the Providence Health and Services-OR Human Resources policy #302 Background Checks, a criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties.

      1 year experience (2080 hours) of pharmacy practice

      1 year Customer Service

      1 year for internal promotion candidate must be competent in all responsibilities of an Associate Pharmacy Technician: (external candidates are required to have the equivalent experience)

      Preferred Qualifications:

      Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.

      National Certification and/or CPhT
