      Job summary

      This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy training practice of 15600 patients. We are looking to expand our prescription team which includes 2 clinical pharmacists and the post holder will have a variety of tasks within this role to expand on their training and experience. Supporting the prescription clerks in the first instance you will be involved in medication reconciliation, discharge letters, audits etc.

      This is a PCN supported role.

      Main duties of the job

      We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking team player with a proven track record in an existing pharmacy technician role.

      The ability to work on their own as well as part of a team, and the motivation to create ideas for improvement in medicines management.

      We are an eco-friendly practice of 12 doctors (5 partners) and host medical students across the academic year.

      The applicant will also be expected to complete the appropriate pathway training for pharmacy technicians if they have not already done so. This is an 18 month course supported by the PCN and the practice.
