- Track and triage coverage determination requests submitted from providers.
- Determine if a pharmacist review is required for coverage requests.
- Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers.
- Approve coverage determination requests based on defined criteria.
- Enter and document coverage determination request decisions into the PBM system.
- Notify providers and/or members of decisions regarding coverage determinations.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding authorization approvals and PBM online applications.
- Refer coverage determination requests for specialty drugs to delegated vendors or clients.
- Contact providers for additional information to facilitate coverage determination reviews.
- Notify physicians, providers, and members of coverage determination request decisions.
- Current state's Pharmacy Technician license.
- National Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT).
- 1-2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience in a retail, specialty, or long-term care facility.
- 1-2 years of prior authorization experience.
- Strong data entry skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in retail, hospital, or mail order pharmacy.

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team, responsible for tracking and triaging coverage determination requests for prior authorizations and Medicare Part D recipients. This role involves obtaining verbal authorizations, requesting detailed clinical information from prescribers, approving coverage determination requests, and documenting decisions in the PBM system.

This is a remote role with working hours from 10 am to 6:30 pm EST or 11 am to 7:30 pm EST. Our company is a rapidly growing healthcare provider offering opportunities for remote advancement. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
