- Apply previous experience in research to help develop quantum computers using trapped ions as qubits
- Responsible for working in a research environment to analyze quantum computing protocols, such as quantum error correction or quantum algorithms
- Present scientific results at meetings or in publications
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program
- Graduating after December 2024
- Applicants for employment for this position must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Quantinuum. (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)
- 2+ years’ experience (PhD inclusive) involving one or more of the following areas: quantum information, quantum computing, quantum algorithms.
- Experience with constructing quantum circuits
- Experience performing simulation and modeling to inform experiments
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with published results within their field of research
